Last night I decided to take a slight detour from my routine of cranking out new episodes (with Devon and the gang). I’ve been feverishly working hard at it almost non stop for a month.  I’m not exactly the fastest gun in the west, when it comes to my turn around time, so I probably on finished about 14-16 of them.  I’m finding each strip is taking me around 5-6 from conception to completion. But, I am proud of the work I’m doing. Anyhow, I decided a month after my debut (as a change of pace and because it was over due), I’d create some new ads for STC.

I took a trip to youtube and watched a few tutorials, in order to learn how to do animated gifs. If you scroll above the comic to the menu bar, you can click on the “banners” button.  The work I did last night is displayed there. I’ll slowly be adding new ones there from time to time, so go check it out every once in a while, if you like that kinda thing. With a name like Steal This Comic, you have to know that I strongly encourage your to swipe any of those ads to put on your site. So, onto the big STC news. Tomorrow marks a historical day. So, far STC has been nothing but a sausage factory. Devon, Cory, and King all made their debuts within the first couple months the strip has run. Devon (first named Allan) and King debuted in the first 2 strips respectively, and Cory followed shortly after. That was 6 months ago. Now, I also realize there’s got to be one or two of you out there that miss Cory. As I mentioned earlier, I’m working ahead and can assure you, you’ll get your fill of Mr. Whitman soon enough. In fact, he’ll be costarring in his very own subplot the first half of next year.

Da News.  Jerry, George, and Kramer woulda been nothing without Elaine. And if you’re a fan of the Steal This Comic, you already know a new character will debut soon, and her name… is Gabby. Her first appearance will definitely be an impactful one as she rounds out the main cast, for right now. I’ve got other characters created and drawn, but It just may be another 6 months or more until the next main character appears. What does this bombshell look like? Toon in tomorrow and find out.  Or…you can look at some of the new banners, if you can’t wait that long.

Well, I was planing to hold onto this one for a while, but I’ve recently gotten some feedback on a recent strip that’s put me in a really good mood tonight. A few nights back, I was drawing in my sketchbook and came up with this idea. I realize that early STC dealt with some 4th wall stuff and I wanted to take that idea to the next level. I think I might, at some point want to improve on this but I hope you guys like it anyway.
