Well, I came across this a couple of days ago, and quite frankly, don’t know how to feel about it. Something like this is funny when it’s done by Dave Chapelle, but it’s embarrassing to see local news stations giving stuff like this the time of day.

The interesting thing is that you have both black people and white people who are not surprised by the story, but for different reasons.
I know I was mad when I went to pay for a baby – straight cash – and it was advertised as 499, but when I got there, it was 599. But yeah, that reporter “on the scene” was a bit giddy and condescending. Not exactly Peabody Material… I loved when that one dude got on the phone and was like, “Yes, I want to talk to you about one of your franchises” – that actually might get results, as someone can be a complete jackass to the staff and/or miss out on something due to their own issue (not saying that dude was) and end up getting free food.
You know, yeah, the coverage of that KFC Deal for free chicken last week on another Fox affiliate was terrible, too. Honestly, most of those commercials and coupons say “at participating stores only”, and I learned at a very young age (in different situations) to read the fine print. However, if you’re the only store of its kind in a large area, I can see where some of the upset comes from.
Hey, this is Minnesota we’re talking about here. Anytime anybody raises their voice or gets angry in this emotionally repressed state, it’s news, dontcha know?
