Wrestlemania is Today.

Since today is the 25th Wrestlemania, what better way to celebrate then with these sketches. I happened to have done these on the same piece of computer paper as the last. I’m not as wild about them as I was the last, but the subject matter is more recognizable. I hope you guys enjoy these.

Okay, I’ll admit. This first one is pretty amateurish. I’m still gettin’ back into the swing of caricature however.

I definitely felt this one is better. It was done on the same piece of paper too.

I’ve got this fear of sketchbooks that I need to get over. I’m endlessly looking for the “perfect” sketchbook. I’m looking for one that’s nice, and easy to travel with. If you know any good online vendors, let me know below.

Also, if you didn’t already know, I’m on Twitter. You can follow me by pressing here.

You’re absolutely right, the second one looks fantastic! Warming up in sketching is essential, and I totally hear ya on the sketchbook thing. I’m still breaking down that barrier. Just draw already! geesh.

See, this is what having an “untrained” eye will get you. I thought the first one was spot on. Wrestlemania is an anniversary of sorts for me – I met some of the coolest guys at a place called US Play while watching it there several years ago. They let me & some redheaded guy sit at their table, and boy, it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. And I even managed to con one into marrying my sister! Good times…

TL-Why is that? I’m like George Clooney and a sketchbook is a woman. I love them, but I can’t commit.
Winnie-…and you’ll never be forgiven for that ;)

I feel I should interject a comment. I told her “just say no” and she wouldn’t listen. Damn black people. Thats still PC right? Oh, sorry, Damn African American people. And HHH looks great from an expert opinion, but he still needs some more forehead. Think “coneheads” level area and you’ll have the square footage right.

I shoulda known that it would take me drawing a wrestler before you’d comment on my site.

A forum on the pros and cons of the Claremont to Ellis eras would have been fine too. Or anything Robotech. Hey, at least I check in! Oh, and your best friend won his title back at WM25 to chants of his suckkage.
