Happy Birthday To…STC!
On March 10th of 2008, a new comic hit the net to a deafening thud. Born were Devon Allan, and King. Others made their debut later and the cast has grown. I’m very proud to say that I’ve made it this far as I’ve spent years delaying the start of a solo project, never feeling the timing would be right, or that I had the ability or talent to make anybody care.
So today marks the first of what I hope to be many anniversaries for the gang here at STC. I’m sorry that I haven’t sent out any invitations but you’ve found your way here. Help yourself to some dip, and remember BYOB.
Any birthday wishes will be happily received within the comments below. And if you have the time, I’d like to know, which strip (in this first year) has been your favorite?

WOO! march 10th 2008, a dawn of a new era!
You spelled error wrong.
-C.
Yeah, but can you keep it up for another year?
Congrats!
happy happy happy birthday
happy happy happy birthday
happy happy happy birthday
to you. to you. to you. ole
Thanks Dgriff! And Greg. First of all, that’s what my wife said. Oh, sorry Winnie, that’s gross. But if you’re coming to this site for classiness, then you obviously don’t read the strip.
(mental note, keep all family from going to my website.)
But can I honestly keep it up? Yeah of course. I’ve got at least 2 years of penis joke in my brain.
-C.
Penises in the brain not withstanding, Happy birthday to STC! My favorite was when Morio bought it, and running naked through a soccer game! Oh, sorry Morio we mourn your untimely passing . . .
“Penises in the brain not withstanding, Happy birthday to STC!”
Thanks TL. And I’m really appreciating the warm wishes. Thanks TL also for your 2 cents on your favs. So, now all I gotta do tonight is to blow these here candles. W-Wait a MINUTE! These aren’t candles at all!!! (Sorry, that joke sucked. Um, I mean blew).
-C.
Sorry I’m late to the party – I wanted to make an entrance. I’m ready for my close-up, Mr. Devonish! *remembers there are lots of penis references in this section and backs away slowly*
Hey, I said as much on the latest strip, but I’m really excited about it being (now over) a year! In trying to remember the name/number of my absolute favorite (I remembered it was right before Christmas – I have many I love, but I was able to narrow it down), I looked at some of the older strips and I swear, it’s like watching the first seasons of “The Simpsons” or “Family Guy”.
I mean, I’ve always been blown away by your skills (art is certainly not something I’m on any recognizable level of), but you have truly evolved in what you do here!
My favorite is #71: Sensitively Touchy. I knew the content, but wanted to cite the name and number exactly. You were on a specifically memorable streak of great last frames and this one had me cracking up with Cory’s expression and the whole “Awww. The pins don’t get mad at the bowling ball.” I also loved the Christmas one and though I missed it initially, I loved the combination picture/strip “Steal This Bullfinch”…
In addition, I must (yet again) say how much I love the appearances and references (and the denials of their “resemblance to any real person or situation”, like a true “Law & Order” ripped from the headlines episode disclaimer), and the titles of each strip crack me up, too. Thanks for the laughs!
Hey Happy Birthday. Say where’s the cake. BTW, I like the artwork in today’s page. The first panel is the best.
Sorry I’m a little late, but congrats on reaching one year! That’s quite an accomplishment, and I hope you’re proud of all your hard work.
Today’s comic was funny. I’d kick that mushroom for draggin’ me all over creation to push a doorbell.
